Workplace Application: This session will provide insights on the misunderstandings and miscommunications that hinder effective interactions in the diversified workplace.
Join Keith Caver, Vice President and Principal, Right Management and formerly long-standing facilitator at the Center for Creative Leadership's African American Leadership Program, for an insightful discussion on the misunderstandings and miscommunications that hinder effective interactions in the diversified workplace. Learn about the six commonalities shared by African American Leaders, how White Leaders of African Americans can help overcome misunderstandings and miscommunication, and expand your understanding of racial differences in the workplace and what can be done about them. In this session, we will:

• Explore and illuminate challenges for both African American and White leaders working across cultures in the Corporate America

• Introduce emerging World of Work (WOW) trends with a specific emphasis on implications for diverse associates, leaders and the corporate environment

• Discuss trends identified in the original research and their current relevance to workplace experiences

• Highlight opportunities for African American, White and other diverse groups to “bridge the gap” in working across the cultural divide in Corporate America
